We’re really excited to be welcoming textile artist Isobel Moore to our team of tutors at Dot to Dot Studio.
In this workshop you will learn how to use machine embroidery to create a vibrantly colourful and textured landscape. Your landscape could be inspired by a favourite place, a postcard or photo, or completely imaginary.
Isobel’s workshops are a brilliant way of using up (even tiny) little scraps of fabric that you may have left over from bigger projects.
You can check out more from Isobel on her website: www.isobelmoore.co.uk
Students need to bring:
A packed lunch — You are welcome to use our microwave/toaster facilities at the studio!
Fabric scraps – (lightweight/dressmaking fabrics – tiny bits are fine!) and any pieces of lace, ribbon or textile remnants that you might like to incorporate.
Papers – A selection of different papers, which could be related to your landscape location for example maps, tourist leaflets – but you can use any papers like old sheet music, gift wrap etc.
We highly recommend that you bring your own machine to this class (please call Becky to discuss machine requirements 01825 841311).
