Because sewing is cheaper than therapy (but you’ll get some actual therapy sewn in for free!)
Start the day with an introduction to mindfulness with special guest Catherine James, CBT therapist and mindfulness teacher, whilst enjoying coffee and pastries.
Then you’ll have the rest of the day to sew at your own pace on a sewing project of your choice – bring your own or choose from a range of projects in the studio. We have a range of patterns and fabrics to purchase on the day.
Catherine will be on hand all day to chat about how to incorporate mindfulness in to everyday life. There is a consultation room for you to use if you’d like to talk anything through privately with Catherine.
We will end the day with a guided meditation and you’ll be given printed handouts with web links to recordings to carry on your practice at home.
We will stop for a lunch break at 1pm. Please bring a packed lunch, we have a toaster and microwave available to use.
