A series of workshops over three days, this is a chance to try out lots of different textile and craft projects. We’ll be making felted flowers and beads using natural wool, having a go at tie dye, block printing, and bleach designing with stencils, and there is also the opportunity to sew your own customisable denim duffle bag! Also an amazing opportunity to have a go at making glass beads at the flame with Rebecca Weddell in her studio (age 12+ only for the beads, I’m afraid).
Students need to bring a packed lunch each day and are advised to bring a set of old clothes to wear while dyeing/bleaching – (every care will be taken to avoid getting messy, but some people are just the messy sort!)
By the end of the workshop you will have your own uniquely designed denim duffle bag, a selection of tie-dyed and block printed bandana scarves and T-shirt, a bleach stencilled T-shirt, felted wool flowers, and a set of beads made into a necklace or keyring.
Dates: 3-day Workshop – Monday 31st July/Tuesday 1st/Wednesday 2nd August
Cost: This course is £200 for all three days (with an additional £40 if you opt to do the glass bead making) or, if your child only wants to attend one or two days the cost is £70 per day, and includes all materials. Suitable for ages 10+, boys and girls are welcome at all of our workshops. *Please note – you will not be able to do all of the activities above unless you pick all three days.

One day Workshop
This one day workshop is a great opportunity to dip a toe into the world of making your own clothes. Suitable for complete beginners or the more experienced. In this class you will make either a pair of classic PJ bottoms, a skater skirt, or a pair of festival style pom-pom shorts.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities, boys and girls are welcome at all of our workshops, ages 10+
Dates: Wednesday 23rd August

Three day workshop
Over three days you will get to design your own short playsuit or dress.
We’ll teach you how to adapt your pattern to include your own design features, maybe pin-tucks, a collar, ruffles, colour block panels, or perhaps add sleeves or pockets. You can then make your own design in a cotton fabric of your choice and finish it off with buttons, a zip, appliqué, and trims. The perfect course for a budding fashion designer, your opportunity to design a unique one-piece all on your own.
This is the course that started it all for Jade (Great British Sewing Bee Contestant 2016) back in 2012. #sewingbee
