Our Class and Workshop Cancellation Policy

Please be aware of our cancellation policy before making a booking.

For weekly sewing classes/weekly patchwork and quilting classes

Small classes and a flexible booking structure enable students to learn at their own pace and bring their own project. We understand that it is not always possible to make the commitment to attend a regular class every week so we allow you to pick and choose the sessions that best suit you. We will confirm which future dates you are booked onto when you pay for your sessions. You are able swap to another session within the same week, where there is availability. You may also take breaks for holidays whenever you need to. However, if you have booked to come on a certain date we require 48 hours notice of cancellation otherwise you will be charged for the missed session.

Weekly classes are booked and paid for in advance by purchasing ‘Class Credits’. Class credits can be booked in blocks, as follows:

  • 3 weeks – £60
  • 6 weeks – £110
  • 9 weeks – £160
  • 12 weeks – £200
  • Single Session – £25

You have the choice to buy as many class credits as you wish. Once class credits are paid for, they are non-refundable, but will be held in credit and can be redeemed against any class/workshop booking at Dot to Dot Studio.

To avoid missing booked sessions, and because most of our classes are currently operating with a waiting list, if you are unsure about whether you can make a session you are booked onto, we recommend that you cancel as soon as possible (ensuring you give us at least 48 hours notice). This will prevent you having to pay for your missed session. However, if you then realise that you are able to come after all, please give us a call, as a space may still be available.

Please note – Due to our increasing number of students and classes, we can no longer accept cancellations verbally (in person or over the phone) or via text message. All cancellations/requests for changes must be made in writing via email. Please use our designated email address for cancellations:

We will reply to confirm that we’ve received your cancellation or change request. The time stamp shown on your email will be used to determine that the 48 hour notice has been given.

We reserve the right to cancel a session if we cannot meet the minimum number of students required for a class.

We have a separate policy for Special weekend/one-off workshops.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel, we will endeavor to fill your space from a waiting list. If a cancelled space is filled from a waiting list, we will always offer a 100% refund.

If you need to cancel more than 14 days before the workshop date, then we can offer a 50% refund.

If you need to cancel within 14 days, and we cannot fill your space from a waiting list, we unfortunately cannot offer any refund.

Due to the infrequency of some of our specialist workshops, we are unable to offer transfers but you may send someone in your place. Please let us have their contact details (name, address, e-mail address and telephone number) as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made where possible and confirmation details can be passed on.

In exceptional circumstances we may have to cancel a Workshop. If that happens we will give you as much notice as possible and will try to accommodate you on a different date, or refund your fee paid, whichever you prefer. We do not accept liability for travel or other costs.
